A Miami-Born Surgeon Known for Natural-Looking Results

Dr. Paul D. Durand is a board-certified plastic surgeon recognized for meticulous technique and elegant outcomes that preserve a patient’s unique identity. Born in Miami and raised in Lima, Peru, Dr. Durand brings a global perspective to aesthetic surgery—blending artistic detail with a disciplined, safety-first approach. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he welcomes patients from Miami, throughout South Florida, and internationally.

At Ensō Plastic Surgery in Brickell, Dr. Durand focuses on facial aesthetics and body contouring, tailoring each surgical plan to the individual’s anatomy, goals, and lifestyle. Patients value his thoughtful communication style, conservative decision-making, and commitment to results that look refreshed—not overdone.

Education & Advanced Surgical Training

Dr. Durand completed plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the Cleveland Clinic, one of the most respected medical centers in the United States. During this time, he contributed to pioneering reconstructive work in complex facial surgery. Cleveland Clinic’s face-transplant program has documented landmark cases, including a total face transplant performed on the youngest face-transplant recipient in the United States.

Following residency, Dr. Durand pursued specialized fellowship training in aesthetic plastic surgery at the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, a program widely known for advanced cosmetic technique and high surgical volume. This additional fellowship experience informs his refined approach to facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty—where millimeters matter and balance is everything.

Volunteer Work & Mission Trips

Dr. Paul D. Durand is deeply committed to global medical outreach and believes that surgical skill carries a responsibility beyond the operating room. His dedication to volunteer work began early in his medical training, when participation in international mission trips helped shape both his career path and his philosophy of care.

Since that time, Dr. Durand has participated in multiple surgical missions throughout Latin America, providing reconstructive care for underserved communities with limited access to specialized medical services. Much of this work has focused on cleft lip and palate repair, procedures that restore not only physical function, but also confidence, speech development, and quality of life for children and their families.

These mission trips require adaptability, collaboration, and precision—often performed in resource‑limited environments that demand the highest level of surgical judgment and efficiency. For Dr. Durand, this work reinforces the fundamentals of plastic surgery: restoring form, function, and dignity through thoughtful, patient‑centered care.

Beyond the immediate impact on patients, Dr. Durand values the opportunity to work alongside local medical teams, exchange knowledge, and contribute to sustainable surgical education. These experiences continue to inform his approach to practice, grounding advanced aesthetic surgery in compassion, humility, and service.
